The big question, do you believe that people are doing the best they can? Brene Brown asked it first and then everyone else did, including me. I am likely late to the party. I often am. That's okay, we are all going to the same party anyway. But, I am doing the best that I can.
We live in interesting times. A lot is changing. Some of it is for the better. More seems to not be. The biggest issue is the same issue for all of us. Every single person on the planet and that will ever be on the planet faces the same crisis. Climate. Our mother is hurt and and she is allergic to us. Her systems are doing everything they can to shake us off. To itch us off. To drown us or blow us away. Mama is angry and I don't blame her.
So, what am I doing about it now and what do I plan to do about it in the future? First things first. I am all about love. Love is the answer to every question. Love isn't always pretty though. I love the Earth, our Mother. I love my husband. I love my threes sons. I love my daughter-in-law. I love my grandson. I love my adopted daughter. They are my world, but I love more than that of course. I have a big family with lots of amazing siblings who all have done very cool and adventurous, sometimes incredibly dangerous, things in and for this world. They have children and so on. You get the picture. My family.
But wait, there's more because as corny as it sounds, I love everyone. Really, everyone. There are quiet a few people that I dislike and one or two that I detest. One of those two is someone I will address in time and one of them I can simple address as "45" and most will know of whom I speak.
Again, I am just doing the best I can. I wake up every morning saying "Good morning. I am glad to be alive. I love everyone. I love me. This is going to be a good day." It's my morning affirmation. The affirmation works for me and supports me in realizing my word of the year, forgive. Forgiveness is within and it is so hard to live and learn.
That is it really, I am doing the best I can. I am human and fallible. I have made mistakes in my life. That's okay. Most of us have. We can work through it and that is how we will solve the greatest crisis there is. True forgiveness and working through our shit. One. Step. At. A. Time.
